At the end of the Eighties, came out in the U.S.A. an anthology of science fiction entitled "Semiotext(e) SF" containing a series of stories so far rejected by "commercial" publishers because of the extreme contents treated and the "reckless style" used. Trying to remain true to the spirit that had led to the birth of "Semiotext (e) SF", and building on from an advertisement contained in it showing a product halfway between a penile prosthesis and a hi-tech sex toy; we asked artists and non-artists from all around the world to represent in a grotesque extreme and irreverent way the technology that the future terrestrial consumers of 2099 will probably see into their homes and in their own bodies through advertising posters, manuals and "Da Vinci" style sketches.

Alla fine degli anni Ottanta, uscì in America un'antologia di fantascienza intitolata “Semiotext(e) SF”, contenente una serie di racconti, che fino a quel momento erano stati rifiutati dagli editori “commerciali” a causa dei contenuti estremi trattati e dello "stile spericolato" utilizzato.
Cercando di rimanere fedeli allo spirito, che aveva portato alla nascita di “Semiotext(e) SF” e prendendo spunto da una pubblicità in essa contenuta, che reclamizzava un prodotto a metà strada tra una protesi peniena e un sex toys hi-teck, abbiamo chiesto, ad artisti e non artisti di tutto il globo di rappresentare in modo grottesco, estremo e dissacrante, tramite poster pubblicitari, manuali d'uso, schizzi alla “Da Vinci”, la tecnologia che nel “2099”, i futuri consumatori terrestri vedranno entrare nelle loro case e nei loro stessi corpi.
